About UNITRONIX AU (pty ltd)
Unitronix works with defence and critical-infrastructure engineers at the point where requirements are still forming.
We specialise in early-stage hardware evaluation, system bring-up and rapid prototyping for rugged and mission-critical environments — helping teams move from concept to credible hardware without locking in architectures too early.
Our work typically starts before specifications are frozen, when engineers are balancing SWaP constraints, environmental requirements, interfaces and long-term support considerations.
We support this process through:
• Configurable rugged compute platforms (embedded, edge and rack-based)
• Specialist RF, data ingest and signal-handling subsystems
• Rugged displays, I/O and system infrastructure
• Rapid prototyping enclosures designed to host real processing hardware in lab and field trials
Unitronix does not push fixed products.
We work from use-case first principles, selecting and configuring hardware from trusted specialist manufacturers — and where required, developing our own platforms to accelerate evaluation and integration.
Engineers typically engage with us when:
• programme timelines are tight
• hardware needs to be proven early
• multiple suppliers must work together
• re-work later in the programme would be costly
