About U.S. Space Command

United States Space Command conducts operations in, from and to space to deter conflict, and, if necessary, defeat aggression, deliver space combat power for the Joint/Combined Force and defend U.S. vital interests with allies and partners.

Commanded by U.S. Space Force Gen. Stephen N. Whiting, USSPACECOM is the warfighting combatant command that actively employs forces from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force to deliver space effects to joint and combined forces and protect and defend the space domain. Space superiority enables the Joint Force to rapidly transition from competition to conflict and prevail in a global, all-domain fight. From the ultimate high ground to the last tactical mile, USSPACECOM ensures there is never a day without space.

U.S. Space Command’s Provisional Headquarters is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The command has personnel and functions at Peterson, Schriever, Vandenberg Space Force Bases and Offutt Air Force Base. For information about USSPACECOM career opportunities, visit USAjobs.gov.
