About United Way of West Tennessee
As new opportunities in region emerge, we mobilize communities toward collective action related to our key impact areas: health, youth opportunity, financial stability, and community resiliency. The programs we offer is a testament to our diverse impact. We are committed to helping every person in every stage of life thrive. Our services also provide individuals with multiple opportunities to get involved.
Our service area includes 15 counties in the northwest and southwest regions of West Tennessee: Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Madison, McNairy, and Weakley Counties. Collectively, we coordinate solutions that address each community’s most critical needs in order to create a healthy, safe, and united West Tennessee.
UWWT’s extensive footprint allows us to collaborate with 56 area nonprofits spanning 15 counties across the region. Rather than serve as a holding tank for funds, we coordinate with these nonprofits to provide multi-faceted support for the programs they manage. By helping them acquire resources, we empower them to assist people in need within their local area.
