We are experts in closed-die drop forging and one of the leading producers of drop-forged components in the UK.
Our capacity includes nine drop forging hammers, with power ratings ranging from 350 kg to 6.3 tonnes. We also have screw press forging capability ranging from 150 tonnes to 1450 tonnes.
Specialist Materials | Complex Forging Shapes | Small Batches A Speciality
DROP FORGED COMPONENTS UP TO 100 KG NET WEIGHT
W.H.Tildesley Ltd, established in 1874, is one of the oldest and most experienced drop forging companies remaining in the United Kingdom.
We work with a wide variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including standard carbon steel alloys, stainless steels, duplex steels, aluminium, copper alloys, as well as nickel super alloys and titanium.
Our drop forging process is fully supported by a range of additional services, including component design, forging feasibility studies, and optimisation through CAD modelling and simulation. We also have an in-house tool room for quick turnaround of dies and an in-house machine shop for proof or finished machined components.
WHT maintains a niche position in markets where small and medium quantities of unique parts are required, often on short lead times.
