Wansom AI is seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Legal Research Associate to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing Briefly, our proprietary legal intelligence engine. You will bridge the gap between traditional legal expertise and cutting-edge AI, ensuring our automated research outputs maintain the highest standards of accuracy, relevance, and authority.

Key Responsibilities

Intelligence Enhancement: Collaborate with the engineering team to refine the accuracy and relevance of legal findings generated by Briefly.
Deep-Dive Research: Conduct comprehensive legal research across multiple jurisdictions to validate AI-generated summaries and regulatory updates.
Quality Assurance: Review and audit legal document preparations to ensure they align with current statutes and case law.
Synthesis & Communication: Translate complex legal findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for our users.
Workflow Integration: Assist in developing the logic and frameworks that power our automated research and drafting tools.

Qualifications & Skills

Legal Expertise: A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a related field is required. You must possess a grounded understanding of legal research principles and statutory interpretation.
Strategic Experience: Proven experience in legal document preparation and review. In-house counsel experience is a significant advantage, as it provides perspective on the practical needs of corporate legal departments.
Analytical Rigor: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth research and present findings effectively to both legal and technical stakeholders.
Tech-Fluency: Familiarity with legal technology and AI tools is highly preferred. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Independence & Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex research projects independently while meeting tight deadlines.
