Washington State Academy of Sciences

The Washington State Academy of Sciences (WSAS) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization established by the Washington State Legislature in 2005 to advise state agencies, the Legislature, the Governor’s office and others on issues involving science and technology. Through its members—distinguished scientists and engineers across disciplines and sectors—WSAS mobilizes the research community in Washington and beyond to provide timely, credible expertise on issues that affect Washington state.
