About WDB Investment Holdings
Established in 1991, Women’s Development Businesses (“WDB”) was mandated to bring about the economic upliftment and social advancement of economically disadvantaged women in under-developed regions of South Africa.
WDB Investment Holdings (Proprietary) Limited was later established in 1996 to provide sustainable source of income for the WDB Trust.
WDBIH is a broad-based women owned and managed business, with over 80% of its profits benefiting economically disadvantaged households, impacted by poverty.
20 years later WDBIH is positioned as a leading women empowerment company in South Africa with a portfolio of listed and unlisted investments in the following sectors:
Consumer goods and services, financial services, diversified industrials, TMT and social impact investments.
WDBIH’s overall mandate is to drive women advancement within our investments.
To date, WDBIH has total assets under management of R6bn and has repatriated approximately R200 million of dividends to the WDB Trust.
