Welsh Jewish Cultural Centre

We're restoring the Grade II listed Victorian synagogue in Merthyr Tydfil, creating the Welsh Jewish Cultural Centre. This new centre will tell the stories of Jewish tradition in Wales, and will create a nationally-significant space.

The synagogue represents shared heritage – it is Jewish, Welsh, British and European heritage. Its preservation is part of a visionary project that will educate about and celebrate the Jews of Wales, while conveying an important message about diversity, tolerance and understanding.
