Mission:
Provide a rigorous American-style curriculum with AP and Pre-AP courses, optional university-backed pathways, and individualized college guidance. We prepare students to excel academically, develop leadership skills, and secure access to the top 5 percent of universities worldwide while fostering global citizenship and lifelong learning
Core Values:
Excellence - Academic rigor and high standards in all programs
Global Mindset - Preparing students for diverse cultural and educational contexts
Opportunity - Access to scholarships, top universities, and career pathways
Integrity - Transparent, ethical, and student-centered operations
Innovation - Flexible and adaptive learning models, including online and blended pathways
Legacy - Building a lasting impact through student achievements and the WAAPC community
From Grade 1 to Grade 8, students follow the American Common Core State Standards framework that builds strong literacy, numeracy, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
From Grade 9 to Grade 12, WAS-Abidjan runs a Dual Diploma Pathway that combines local engagement with an accredited U.S. high school program. This pathway allows students to graduate with both a WAAPC transcript and a U.S. high school diploma, giving them direct access to universities in the United States, Canada, and other international systems.
WAAPC American School offers SAT, ACT, and AP preparation through its in-house WAAPC Training Centre, ensuring that every learner is ready for global academic success.
