Overview

About Wroclaw International School (WIS)

Wroclaw International School is an IB World School. It was established in 2002 as the first international school in Lower Silesia and serves the needs of expatriates living in the region with its IB programmes (Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme). The alumni can continue their education in International High School of Wroclaw (WIS sister-school) in the IB Diploma Programme.

We believe that authorization given by the IBO to offer both programmes confirms and proves that WIS offers the best curriculum combined with great faculty and facilities among all international schools in Wroclaw and Lower Silesia.

IB World Schools are schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Wroclaw International School believes is important for our students.

Wroclaw International School (WIS) is one of three schools governed by the not-for-profit public charity: Foundation of International Education.

Our program currently extends from pre-school (age 3) to grade 10 (age 15). With an enrollment of over 130 students, we greatly value and strive to maintain the caring ethos of WIS, and small class sizes ensure that students' individual learning needs are met.

Our new modern purpose-built facility located in Raclawicka Street 101 belongs to the most modern school campuses in Poland and was awarded in the 23rd Architectural Contest “Beautiful Wrocław” in 2017.

The student community at WIS is multinational. Students from about 30 countries are currently enrolled. About 50% of the student body comes from the Far East. Although very few Polish citizens attend WIS, the international school at our main campus shares the facilities with ATUT Bilingual Primary School and International High School of Wroclaw. About 10% of WIS students are native English speakers, others are second language learners at varying levels of competence in English. Classes are small, up to 20 students.
