About xL Architecture & Modular Design Ltd.
xL Architecture & Modular Design Ltd. (XLA) is an architecture practice specializing in off-site construction and industrialized building systems. We work with developers, institutions, and modular manufacturers to deliver projects that are designed for manufacturing, code-compliant from day one, and grounded in real construction constraints.
Our expertise spans volumetric modular and panelized systems, with experience across ADUs, missing-middle housing, multi-residential developments, and community infrastructure projects. We support projects from early feasibility and code strategy through detailed design coordination with manufacturers and consultants.
XLA approaches modular as a delivery framework, not a shortcut. We focus on early decision-making, system clarity, and risk mitigation, aligning architectural intent with factory workflows, logistics, and site realities.
Operating across Ontario and beyond, our work is informed by hands-on collaboration with modular factories, engineers, and public-sector stakeholders.
Through our ongoing 2026 content series, Modular Intelligence and Modular Spotlights, we share practical insights, technical lessons, and global precedents shaping the future of off-site construction.
