About XtremeSTEM - Workforce Crisis SOLVED
XtremeSTEM: Developing the pipeline for Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and STEM careers.
What if we could capture the attention of students in middle school and provide them a pathway to success after high school? What if we keep them engaged, teach them valuable life skills and prepare them to confidently enter the workforce? It’s possible and we have proven that it can be done!
XtremeSTEM is an Ohio-based non-profit organization (501c3) leading the way in eliminating the manufacturing workforce crisis through proven, results-oriented solutions. It is our mission to inspire students to pursue STEM opportunities in Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and STEM careers. Using experiential student programs, we effectively dispel the myths and misconceptions about the industry, showing the next generation that the advanced manufacturing industry is not dark, dying, or dangerous. We show that the industry is full of life and lots of great opportunities for everyone.
Since our founding over ten years ago, we have worked with over 3,500 students from 75 schools, hosting over 30 competitions with over 1,000 student-built robots and drones. Our impact goes beyond just the students. With each event having hundreds of parents, teachers, and robotics enthusiasts attending, XtremeSTEM has given tens of thousands of community members unique insights into the world of advanced manufacturing and all the exciting possibilities it has to offer.
