Job Purpose: An Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving Sales Performance and Managing Business Operations. Drive Sales Growth and expand market share within the assigned territory by leading and developing a high-performing sales team, strengthening distributor and retailer relationships, and executing effective sales and distribution strategies. The role ensures optimal product availability, brand visibility, and compliance with industry regulations while delivering sustainable revenue and business growth.

Sales & Revenue Growth

Drive achievement of sales targets and maximize revenue through strategic planning, effective execution, and expansion of both retail and institutional accounts.

Volume & Distribution Management

Ensure consistent delivery of primary and secondary volume targets by optimizing outlet coverage, product availability, and distribution network expansion.

Trade Promotions & Brand Activations

Plan and execute marketing schemes, consumer activations, and trade promotions to enhance brand visibility, demand, and customer engagement.

Collections & Credit Control

Maintain healthy credit cycles, ensure timely collections, and minimize overdue receivables in line with company policies.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and monitor the sales team to improve performance, productivity, and capability while fostering accountability and motivation.

Relationship Management & Network Expansion

Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and institutional clients to strengthen market presence and acquire new customers.

Product Knowledge & Compliance

Ensure thorough understanding of the product portfolio and strict adherence to industry regulations, legal standards, and company policies.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance; provide actionable insights and accurate reports to support strategic decision-making.

Inventory & Resource Optimization

Coordinate and monitor inventory (freezers, beer kegs, and other sales assets) and optimize manpower and operational resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Strategic Planning & Business Development

Implement strategic sales and marketing initiatives to expand market share, acquire new customers, and strengthen institutional (B2B) business.

Performance Management & Training

Conduct regular performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities and sales effectiveness.

Administrative & Operational Excellence

Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and smooth coordination of day-to-day sales and marketing operations.
