Meet the new Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (BIDS) at Yale School of Medicine. We are dedicated to addressing inequality in healthcare by advancing engineering, technology and medicine.

Our tripartite mission includes research, education, and services. We re-engineer processes for clinical data organization, analyses, and access. We develop the computational infrastructure needed to employ artificial intelligence (#AI) and advanced analytics in a secure, privacy-protecting manner. Across these efforts, documenting and reducing health disparities is an essential focus.

We strive to make Yale School of Medicine a leader of AI in medicine.
