YouthTeamUp

Young people inspire and drive socio-political and technological changes. They are also key resources for building resilient, sustainable, and healthy communities. The objective of the YouthTeamUp project is to connect African and European youth through virtual exchanges in order to realize Global Impact Projects (GIPs). GIPs are collaborative, innovative, and sustainable projects selected for their impact and fully aligned with the SDGs 2030. Our experience shows that realizing GIPs requires two effective levels of interactions: Shallow Virtual Exchanges and Deep Virtual Exchanges.
In Shallow Virtual Exchanges, youth gather in large groups and participate in interactive ideation and capacity-building sessions on soft and technical skills. In Deep Virtual Exchanges, youth form small groups focused on realizing GIPs using digitalization tools.
