A $10 million investment into a Dallas nonprofit could expand college and career guidance for tens of thousands of students across southern Dallas County.
Education is Freedom, a nonprofit that advises Dallas County students on college and career readiness, will use the Maycomb Capital investment to grow its total adviser corps to more than 100.
That expansion targets a persistent gap in Dallas County schools, where limited advising staff often leaves many students without clear guidance on how to pay for or pursue college and career training. For families, that can mean missed financial aid, fewer options after graduation, and a harder path to higher-paying jobs.
