Exploring Unmet Needs in LGBTQ and Women's Health at Gender Health Equity Salon
A $360B in unmet need in LGBTQ and women's health (Amboy Street Ventures). Medicaid and LGBTQ programs being defunded. 61% of venture funding going to AI. What does this mean for the future of tech-driven solutions for LGBTQ and women's health?
Trans Health HQ is hosting another gender health equity salon during #NewYorkTechWeek, and I'm delighted to be moderating a conversation with two incredible panelists:
- Erica Murdock, Managing Partner, Unseen (Seae Ventures), an investor and former founder with 20+ years of experience in healthcare. She knows what actually works in health systems, not just what pitches well.
- Jennifer Jeronimo, CEO (Gaingels), who has led the angel syndicate to surpass $1B+ in network investment and 2,600+ portfolio companies. She has a read on angel sentiment in gender healthtech that nobody else has.
We're also excited to announce that Laura Dunn - civil rights attorney and architect of landmark Title IX and VAWA - will deliver grounding remarks to contextualize our investment discussion in the broader fight for gender health equity, and the role of capital and policy in advancing it.
RSVP at the Partiful in the comments if you're a funder, founder, or channel partner in the gender healthtech space, interested in discussing shifts in investment criteria in the current environment and the whitespace nobody's funding yet. We're capping it at 32 attendees.
Thank you Jerrica Kirkley, MD for connecting us with these incredible panelists, our co-host Visible Hands for sponsoring this event, and our co-host La Familia (VCFamilia, AngelFamilia) for their partnership.
