Empowering Child Health: Vaccination Initiatives to Save Lives

A #child immunized is a child protected.

Vaccination has contributed to reducing infant deaths by 40% globally, and by more than 50% in the African Region. At Joy for Children we believe that every child has the right to access the highest attainable standard of health and access to health services. We have instigated various community health outreaches that have ensured that these health services are brought closer to the people living in marginalized communities. Through these outreaches, children have received treatment, immunization and psychosocial support.

Still, more efforts need to be done to ensure that the current recorded 46,000 annual child deaths in Uganda related to preventable diseases, are reduced to 0 through intense efforts to encourage and boost immunization within the country.
