During our monthly *Walk in Your World* initiative, Chief Nursing Officer Nicole Carr spent time shadowing Tom from Environmental Services as he made his rounds handling trash removal throughout the hospital.

What stood out most? Tom does this work because he truly enjoys it.

An Air Force veteran, Tom has owned his own companies and retired twice. Years ago, when there was a need and no one else stepped in, he answered the call to help—and he’s been showing up with heart ever since.

Whether he’s keeping busy, connecting with colleagues, or simply taking pride in a job well done, Tom reminds us that every role in healthcare matters and every team member makes a difference.
