HCA Florida Healthcare Volunteers Boost Community Support and Health Initiatives

When communities need support, HCA Florida Healthcare colleagues show up. 💙

In April, 209 colleagues from five HCA Florida Healthcare hospitals across Southwest Florida volunteered more than 452 hours to help strengthen the communities we serve. Together, HCA Florida Blake Hospital, HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital and HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital supported local organizations focused on food access, education, environmental improvement and lifesaving donations.

Our impact included:
✔️ More than 76 blood donors, helping to save up to 222 lives
✔️ 4,600 pounds of food distributed, providing 3,830 meals
✔️ Food support for 203 families and 463 individuals
✔️ Mentorship and career education for future healthcare professionals
✔️ Community beautification and cleanup efforts across the region

From volunteering at food banks and schools to supporting blood and organ donation awareness, these efforts reflect our commitment to improving lives beyond hospital walls.
