Cigna Appoints Anisha Vaz as Head of Human Resources for India

Cigna Healthcare has appointed Anisha Vaz as Head of Human Resources for India, bringing in a leader with more than two decades of experience across healthcare, technology, and shared services to oversee the company's expanding India operations. Vaz will lead Cigna Healthcare's India HR strategy, covering talent management, organisational development, employee experience, and workforce transformation programmes.

Before joining Cigna Healthcare, Vaz held senior HR leadership roles at Optum, where she worked on talent strategy, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organisational transformation.

Her appointment comes as multinational healthcare and insurance firms scale their India-based operations across engineering, digital platforms, analytics, and AI-driven business functions, with HR leaders increasingly expected to balance workforce expansion with culture and long-term talent development.
