🔋 Day 1 has officially started at the Battery 2030+ Annual Conference in Turin!
This morning, we kicked off two days of inspiring discussions on the future of battery research with opening remarks from Silvia Bodoardo, followed by a warm welcome from Rector Stefano Corgnati. Politecnico di Torino
We then heard from Patrik Johansson (Uppsala University), who provided an overview of Battery 2030+ and shared perspectives on the initiative’s future.
The programme continued with key insights into the European Battery Partnership and the Battery Deal, presented by Ilka von Dalwigk (Recharge) and Fabrice Stassin (BEPA - Batteries European Partnership Association).
The morning concluded with an engaging keynote lecture by Dorthe Bomholdt Ravnsbæk Ravnsbæk (Aarhus University) on operando insights into structural disorder in battery electrodes—a fascinating deep dive into cutting-edge research.
⚡ A strong start to the 6th Battery 2030+ Annual Conference (May 7–8), bringing together leading voices from academia and industry to drive forward innovation in Europe’s battery ecosystem.
