📊 For the past couple of months we have been crunching numbers, using mostly Eurostat, World Bank, IMF and OECD data, to examine economic, budgetary, trade and digital developments in the #WesternBalkans and the Eastern Trio (#Ukraine, #Moldova and #Georgia). We explore trends in these four fields and don't shy away from addressing sensitive issues, notably Ukraine's large agri-food sector.
📚 This first piece is part of a series of briefings we are preparing for the European Parliament's AFET Committee, in the context of a bigger project on the 'Cost of non-EU enlargement'.
