Grateful for an incredible three days at the GLOBSEC Young Leaders Forum 2026.
Being part of a group of 35 young professionals selected from more than 1200 applicants worldwide was already an honour - but the people and exchanges really made the difference!
It was incredibly valuable to exchange directly with leaders and policymakers such as Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister Benjamin Haddad, Commissioner Jessika Roswall and Ben Hodges, and to hear perspectives from President Maia Sandu, Minister Radosław Sikorski, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and many others across the forum.
On a personal note, it was also a real pleasure to moderate a discussion on #disinformation and social media with former Vice-President of the European Commission Věra Jourová, Anna Zeiter, Prof. Dr., CEO and Founder of W Social AB and... DG MEME!
From EU, NATO and Ukraine to economic security and AI, one message carried through nearly every session - as nicely summed up by the GYLF team: Europe already understands the challenges ahead. The real question is whether it can match its ambitions with the speed, execution and political courage needed to act before crises force its hand.
