But for me, the more interesting question is not growth. It is who captured the value. Consumers clearly gained through discounts and free delivery. But platform economics came under pressure, and restaurants, especially SMBs, felt the margin hit.

Demand is clearly there. Online food ordering is now a structural part of Saudi consumer behavior.

But the next phase needs a healthier model, and we already see the signs. Less subsidy-led volatility. More sustainable economics for consumers, restaurants, riders and platforms.
