Promoting the region stateside 🇺🇸🇬🇧 We’ve enjoyed a productive few days at VisitBritain #GreaterTogether in Los Angeles promoting the #PeakDistrict, #Derbyshire and wider #EastMidlands region to key inbound operators and buyers as part of the UK’s largest ever trade mission to the United States 👏
Greater Together provided a valuable opportunity to promote inbound visits to the region alongside our partners Chatsworth & The Devonshire Group, showcasing our authentic experiences, unique accommodation and trade-ready bookable product to 40+ key travel advisors and 24 tour operators across 3 days.
This activity was supported by East Midlands Combined County Authority as part of our collaborative efforts to raise awareness of the destination on the global stage, increase international visitors to the region and boost the #visitoreconomy.
Alongside a travel advisor immersion event and B2B travel trade workshop, there were many valuable networking opportunities to meet with key US buyers looking for new and unique products for their clients.
The week ended with an immersive consumer activation at The Grove in Los Angeles, which invited the public to take a ‘train journey’ through the UK. 🗺️ Can you spot our Visitor Maps on the news stand? 👀
The US remains the UK’s largest inbound market, with American visitors forecast to spend £7.5bn in 2026, and events like this are vital in building new relationships, inspiring new itineraries and onboarding more regional product for US visitors looking to explore beyond London.
Looking forward to working with the partners we’ve met this week to welcome even more US audiences to our region after this fantastic event 👏
