The Role
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will be the primary administrator and technical lead for HR and payroll systems. You will work closely with the HR Operations Manager, Payroll Led and external vendors to ensure systems are reliable, compliant, and delivering meaningful insights to the business.
Evolution have also just green-lit a major payroll consolidation, which you will also play a key role in, transitioning multiple entities into a central MYOB Payglobal & EMPLive environment, while also owning and optimising the wider HR tech stack.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Owning and administering the HR and payroll technology stack across multiple entities
- Leading system configuration, upgrades, testing, integrations and continuous improvement
- Playing a critical role in the payroll consolidation project, transitioning multiple entities into one
- Developing and maintaining workforce reporting, dashboards and insights to support decision‑making
- Acting as the go‑to person for HRIS and payroll systems expertise, issue resolution and optimisation
- Owning the development of the People Hub (SharePoint intranet), including structure, governance and ongoing enhancement and improving access to HR information and enabling self-service across the organisation.
- Partnering with vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver system improvements and ensure audit readiness
About You
You will bring strong technical HRIS or payroll systems experience, ideally in a complex or regulated environment and enjoy working at the intersection of systems, data, and process improvement. You are confident working autonomously, enjoy solving problems, and can translate data and systems into practical outcomes for the business. You will likely have:
- Strong experience in either an HR/Payroll Systems role, with hands‑on experience administering and configuring HR and payroll data.
- Experience supporting system transitions, upgrades or consolidation projects
- The ability to work across multiple stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Systems experience working with PayGlobal, EmpLive Ready Workforce, and/or ELMO is highly beneficial - the more the better!
- While not a primary focus, strong reporting and data skills would be beneficial.
- Experience in a complex, unionised, rostered and 24/7 payroll environment would be beneficial.
