Celebration Cinema Rivertown Upgrades Boost Foot Traffic with New Restaurant
A $5.8 million upgrade at Celebration Cinema’s Rivertown Crossings theater has finished with the addition of a full-service restaurant, and is already attracting more foot traffic.
Construction on the lobby upgrades and Oscar’s Restaurant and Bar, which finished last month and will hold a grand opening April 27, marks the end of a year-long renovation project at the theater. In addition to the restaurant and lobby, the project included renovations to the theater, including heated recliners, a new facade and upgraded Dolby Atmos sound to one of its 14 auditoriums.
Celebration Cinema parent company Studio C completed the theater renovation in July 2025, and started work on the new Oscar’s in January.
Since completing the theater’s lobby upgrade last month, Studio C Director of Community Affairs Emily Loeks said the theater has experienced a roughly 50% uptick in traffic.
