The Brewers Association has revised its 2025 craft beer numbers — and the decline wasn’t as steep as first reported. 📉🍺
Updated data from the BA’s Beer Industry Production Survey shows craft volume fell 4% in 2025, not 5.1%, after revised figures from several regional brewers, including D.G. Yuengling & Son. Total craft output reached 22.03 million barrels, while retail dollar value declined 2.8% to $28 billion — both improved from initial estimates. Craft’s share of beer category volume also ticked up to 13.4%, with dollar share adjusted to 24.8%.
The corrections also reshaped regional brewery performance and competitive rankings among top producers, underscoring how even small data shifts can ripple across the industry.
