🌧️ A rainy Memorial Day weekend put a damper on bev-alc sales — but spirits still found a way to grow.
According to Circana’s latest weekly scans, off-premise beverage alcohol dollar sales fell 1.6% year-over-year to $1.567 billion, with volume down 3.4% for the week ending May 24. Spirits stood out as the only major category to post gains in both dollars (+4.4%) and volume (+6.9%), while beer and wine declined and RTDs delivered mixed results. Within beer, non-alcoholic offerings surged +17.1%, and in spirits-based RTDs, brands like Sun Cruiser, Surfside and Cutwater posted triple-digit or near-triple-digit growth. 📊🍹
