Reflections on Humanity and Social Change: Insights from Bay Area Community Gathering

"What does this moment for humanity ask of us?"

We are feeling grounded and grateful after spending time with our Bay Area Community this week.

Alongside Dr. David Kyuman Kim, we leaned into a heavy, urgent, and deeply moving question: In a moment of cascading institutional collapse, what is the quality of our love for #humanity, and what are we called to do with our resources?

Together, we shared a space of radical honesty and vulnerability. We explored grief as a force in social change, and #solidarity as an underground root system connecting us through shared obligation and mutual support. We sat with the shift from seeing this era as "crisis" to seeing it as "consequence"—the direct result of systems that have been hierarchical, extractive, and cruel—and explored what it means to "hospice the culture": accompanying the death of old, broken systems with ritual, naming, and intention, rather than denial.

Thank you to everyone who brought their whole heart to the table. Time and time again, we are reminded that, together, we don't have to carry the weight of this changing world alone. ✨
