It was a busy weekend for UPMC and University of Pittsburgh #PrecisionMedicine leaders.

Adrian Lee, PhD and Marija Balic, MD, PhD presented at the 2026 ESMO - European Society for Medical Oncology – USA in Focus: Breast Cancer (EAST), highlighting important advancements in the field.

👏 Dr. Lee discussed liquid biopsy–guided therapeutic escalation, including ESR1 mutation detection and early treatment switch strategies.

👏 Dr. Balic shared insights on PI3K/AKT pathway inhibition, covering new agents, sequencing, and combination approaches.

🎤 Mylynda Massart, MD presented at UPMC’s 9th Annual Hip Preservation Conference, with a focus on Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, hypermobility, and pelvic pain—areas she specializes in through her leadership of the UPMC Precision Medicine Clinic.
