Lakeville is growing fast — and now a proposed 390-acre housing development near wetlands has neighbors asking: are we building smart, or just building fast? 🌿🏘️

According to reporting by Eva Herscowitz with the Minnesota Star Tribune, the project could bring hundreds of homes near southwest Lakeville, close to wetlands, mature trees, wildlife habitat, and the Soberg Waterfowl Production Area.

The city says the developer is working to minimize environmental impact. Residents say: “Please slow down.” And honestly? That’s the whole Minnesota growth debate in one sentence.

More homes matter.
Wetlands matter.
Schools matter.
Traffic matters.
